Your first appointment at our practice is an important one. It sets the foundation for your long-term dental care, smile goals and overall vision for your dental health. It’s also an opportunity for Dr. Vagadia and our incredible team to get to know you, listen to you and communicate what you can expect from our dental care.
We set aside approximately 60 minutes for our initial consultation and exam. You first meet with Dr. Vagadia where he’ll discuss his treatment philosophy with you and learn about your dental concerns, issues and goals. Dr. Vagadia and our team will review your health history with you at this time. Then, you will receive:
- A series of digital x-rays suited to specific patient need
- Comprehensive oral evaluation
- Intra-oral photo tour of your entire mouth
- Charting any existing restorations and current decay
- Preliminary perio charting
Dr. Vagadia will review the images, x-rays and periodontal charting to identify the type of dental cleaning you may need. Depending on the overall status of your oral health, he may recommend a routine cleaning or higher-level periodontal treatment and scaling and root planing.
