Ohio native, Dr. Lanik has been practicing family dentistry since graduating from The Ohio State University School of Dentistry in 1983. Prior to that, he earned a Bachelor of Science in Zoology in 1979 from Kent State University. Dr. Lanik is a member of the Akron Dental Society (ADS) and the Ohio State Dental Association the American Dental Association, and he also serves as an ADS council member. In October 2010, Dr. Lanik purchased the Akron (Manchester) dental office from his father-in-law, Dr. Douglas Green, D.D.S. which is located in the same residential community Dr. Lanik lives.

Dr. Lanik frequently attends continuing education symposiums to stay current on the latest advancements in oral health care. These have included many lectures from renowned specialists concentrating in the area of cosmetic and implant dentistry.
