Dr. Lanik was born and raised in the Uniontown area.  After graduating from Lake High School, he attended Kent State University from which he earned a Bachelors of Science in Zoology in 1979.  He attended The Ohio State University College of Dentistry and graduated in 1983.

Dr. Lanik is active as a member of the Akron Dental Society (ADS) as well as The Ohio State Dental Association (ODA) and the American Dental Association (ADA).  He has served as a council member on the ADS, and currently is an alternate delegate with The Ohio Dental Association as well as holding a council position on the ODA Membership Service council.

Dr. Lanik attends many hours of Continuing Education yearly, concentrating on area of Cosmetic and Implant Dentistry.  He currently maintains membership in The Seattle Study Club, a national organization comprised of many of today’s premier lecturing dentists.

Outside of his office Dr. Lanik enjoys traveling with his wife, Kathy and spending time with their five children.  His hobbies include motorcycle riding, snow skiing, scuba diving and golf.
